DISTINCTIVE LIFESTYLE

To everyone who honors December in different traditions and styles — may your days be bright, your heart light, and your loved ones close.

Now that Thanksgiving is just a few days behind us, the focus shifts to Christmas. It’s time to choose the perfect tree—whether it’s fresh and fragrant or pulled from a box in storage --- bring out the bins filled with ornaments and memories. And if all you have is a Charlie Brown tree, display it proudly — it holds its own kind of magic. Turn on the Christmas music, unpack the decorations, and let your home fill with light, joy, and love. This is the season that warms the heart and brings us together.

For those whose families are far from us, we wrap ourselves in the comfort of our chosen family—our friends.

As the holidays unfold, we’re reminded that this time of year is not only about celebration — it’s also about connection, compassion, and gentle care for ourselves and others. For some, the season is warm and full of laughter. For others, it may feel quiet, tender, or even lonely. Wherever you are this year, and whatever this season brings, may these words rest kindly on your heart:

You matter more than you know.
Your presence in this world makes a difference.
Joy does not have to be loud to be real — even small sparks of light are worth cherishing.

May peace settle softly within you.
May hope find you, even in the smallest ways.
May you feel the warmth of love — from friends, from memories, from within yourself.

If this season feels heavy, take it slowly. Be gentle with yourself.
If it feels bright, may that light stretch outward and touch someone who needs it.

Let kindness guide you.
Let gratitude ground you.
Let love be the thread that connects us all.

This holiday season, may you feel seen, valued, and held in the hearts of others — even if from afar.

You are not alone.
You are cherished.
You are here, and that is a gift.

Step out into the world, wherever you may be, and let the glow of holiday lights surround you. Let yourself feel the magic in the air — the twinkle of decorations, the shimmer of hope, the quiet joy in simple moments.

Notice the smiles of people passing by. They carry warmth, connection, and kindness, and even the smallest one can feel like a long-awaited embrace. A smile can hold you, soften you, remind you that love is still present — sometimes in places we least expect it.

Stay in a place of peace.  Let the light into your life.

Affirmation:

December is going to be my best month.

I am grateful for you.

Adios until next time from San Miguel de Allende, Mexico
