"True change begins from within—a lesson which took me decades to learn."

It has been a few months since I last wrote on my blog.  A great transformation of healing has occurred for me. Now I feel ready to start sharing again.

In 2023, I moved to San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, where deep healing for me has taken place over these past two years due to previous tragic losses and trauma.  Giving me the courage to pursue the writing of my story and eventually to share with you.  As a first-time author I reveal the hidden struggles of growing up with an alcoholic parent. My desire is to share my journey from childhood traumas to transformation.  To serve as an invitation to readers to confront their own wounds, release shame, and reclaim the strength to live the life they were meant to live.  

In writing of my memoir it has been a deep dive into my childhood.  A bridge between past and present from an authentic perspective. Blending pain and wisdom combining honesty and courage.  My writing is a work in progress. 

So welcome back to "Distinctive Lifestyle."  where I will continue to share with you my many different experiences in which to live a joyful and productive life at any age, anywhere.  Come join me on this journey.

  DISTINCTIVE LIFESTYLE........ The beauty of San Miguel de Allende Mexico The first thing that comes to mind when I think of San Miguel’s beauty is its people. I’ve said this before, but it’s worth repeating—the warmth and friendliness of the Mexican people are truly remarkable, at least in my experience. Once you decide to change your thoughts, everything around you begins to shift. The energy in the air feels different, lighter, and more vibrant.
