Over the years, I’ve lived like a nomad, moving from one place to another—whether on my own or with a partner—always chasing the elusive sense of home. Each time I settled into a new space, pouring care into making it a home, an uneasy restlessness would inevitably creep in.

I’ve traveled across the United States in search of a place to call home. But here in San Miguel, I’ve finally discovered that deep sense of contentment—I’ve found my home----my destination.

Moving to San Miguel has opened the door to a world of friendships with remarkably talented individuals. San Miguel is a vibrant melting pot of creativity, home to screenwriters, artists, authors, designers, musicians, healers, entrepreneurs, and so many more. This inspiring community fosters an environment where creativity thrives, allowing us to grow into our truest selves and reach our full potential. I’ve said this before, but it’s worth repeating—the warmth and friendliness of the Mexican people are truly remarkable, at least in my experience. Then there is such beauty to be found everywhere you turn, from the parks to the various colonia neighborhoods.  Those of us who moved here from the USA, Canada, and from other places around the world we are inspired to add to the beauty of our surroundings.   Then there are those Expats who volunteer in different charities to work with the local Mexican community, giving back.  Working with helping with the stray dogs and cats as well.  These people give back to the community because they love San Miguel and what it has brought to them by living here.  What I see as an American living here in San Miguel is that I have received so much from the peopl...

Once you decide to change your thoughts, everything around you begins to shift. The energy in the air feels different, lighter, and more vibrant. A smile naturally finds its way to your face, and your heart beats with joy. You start attracting people who uplift and inspire you—those who encourage you to create and pursue your deepest desires.
