DISTINCTIVE LIFESTYLE ............. The view from my new patio. Every morning, I sit with my cup of coffee at my new home. I write in my journal about all the things I’m grateful for. This May it will be two years that I moved to San Miguel de Allende, Mexico. I have learned so much from living here, especially gratitude. I never take anything for granted because of the countless blessings that show up in my life. Life moves at a slower pace here in San Miguel, but it’s so much more than that. It’s the Mexican people—warm, friendly, and always ready with a smile as I walk down the street. Their kindness and openness to someone like me, a stranger from another country, is something truly special. There’s a calmness here I’ve never experienced before.
